First time here , all the guys very friendly, lots of wild life to enjoy, not to mention the fishing
Looking forward to my next visit
Without doubt one of the best fisheries I've been too. I didn't weigh in but I estimate at least 50 lb of fish caught! What a days fishing. Will return again and again.. and whats best its only £8. Ive added just a small few of the fish i bagged today.
I just want to add that I've read some of the negative reviews on here and I can only disagree with all of them. If you don't follow the rules expect reproductions simple as that. If it was my fisheries I'd be the same. Don't like it don't go. Simple!
1st time I've been fishing for many years but in retirement, I thought I'd give it a go. A tenner for the day was good value. Caught some cracking fish on one of the ponds, of which there are 3. Easy access, well laid out and clean with decent toilets. I'm hooked. Definitely be back.
One of the best kept fisheries in the north west with 3 excellently maintained canal type lakes. Nearly 200 pegs across the waters with most taken up at weekends with club match bookings. Excellent parking and toilet facilities for all anglers including disabled ones with well bedded in pathways to each peg. Fantastic heads of fish predominantly carp of varying sizes and species.
Just had a ride out to check it out looks like a fishing trip is on the cards nice place. trip out today not to bad a day
Update: returned on 9th October and the 2 rod ban didn't look to be in place.
This was my first visit. Went on a Thursday for a couple of hours for a pleasure fish. Was very quiet and had a great choice of pegs. Caught two carp between 6-8 lbs on a float, one mirror and one common.
They have a one rod limit which is a bit disappointing.
The grounds and surroundings are impeccable. Ample parking. Male and Female toilets onsite. Not the cleanliest but not the dirtiest either. No card payments, cash only.
First time here and I've got to say what a great fishery this is.
Spotlessly clean grounds, modern toilets and the fishing was excellent.
From the first cast I was in to one chunky carp after another.I even caught a goldfish!!
Had a great time and I will definitely be back.
Brilliant, can't fault it. First time I've been.
Immaculately kept.
Will definitely go back again.
Picture was of one of many caught? but this was the prettiest of all😁🎣
